We're almost there! Everyday more people are signing the #AmazonFamilyUS petition, and we're SO CLOSE to reaching our goal. Thank you for all of your support! Many people are asking what happens when we hit 10,000 signatures. I wish I could tell you that it will trigger a response from Amazon, but given their total silence so far that seems unlikely. And so instead, we are going to keep going, and use hitting this goal as another big chance to get some big attention to this cause. And to do that, I need your help. My friends at the National At-Home Dad Network (athomedad.org) are organizing a "Thunderclap" in support of the petition, and the cause. How this works is that supporters sign up to use their social media account (Twitter, Facebook, and/or Tumblr) to BLAST out a coordinated message at the same time. This is automated, so once you sign up, you do not have to do anything to send the message. The idea here is to create a massive wave of social media presence on this topic, that will hopefully cascade into more and more people signing the petition and putting pressure on Amazon. In addition, in hand with the petition reaching its 10K goal, our hope is that this will draw the attention of the major media again.
