We, as students of U-46, object to the actions of school board member Jeanette Ward. We specifically object to her questionably biased opinions expressed time and time again. Her views on minorities, the LGBTQ community, and public education as a whole are extreme, offensive, and detrimental to U-46 and the public school system. We cannot stand for someone who does not believe in global warming as a scientific fact, refutes globalization, denies discrimination, and views the United States as the Paragon of Perfection. Her partisanship and opposition of everything that doesn’t fit her way of life is embarrassing to U-46 and its community. Mrs. Ward claims to be against the indoctrination of U-46 children, whileadvocating what amounts to indoctrination by ignorance. We cannot tolerate her hypocritical nature in our school district. We ask the U-46 community to think again about Jeanette Ward; is this really the person we want representing our District? We believe that it would be in the best interest of District U-46 that Mrs. Ward step down from her post and stop tarnishing the district with her biased viewpoints.
