Puyallup Water Warriors, Tribal Council members, and Allies gathered on Friday at the proposed PSE fracked gas LNG facility to Paddle PSE Out.
Patricia Gonzalez, an enrolled Puyallup Tribal member and member of the Puyallup Water Warriors explains: “I want to give a little bit of information about why we chose to Paddle PSE Out. Our protocol when we travel to other tribes or other locations we travel in our canoes. And every time we go and we come to a new territory, we ask for permission, out of respect, if we can come ashore, if we can share a meal, if we can exchange teachings. That’s out of respect to those people. And that when we leave those lands we ask for permission to leave in a good way, in a humble way, in a respectful way. And when we give permission to others to leave, we untie their canoes. We give them the rights to leave with respect, to know that you're are welcome to come back. In this situation we have come to tell PSE LNG project that we don’t want them here. We’re giving them permission in our traditional way, the best way we know how, to respectfully let them leave. Ask them to leave our territory. “

The Puyallup Water Warriors are calling on all community activists for an Urgent Action: Call Governor Inslee at 360-902-4111 to say No Consent, No Construction!
Ask Inslee to issue a Stop Work Order of PSE's unpermitted and illegal fracked gas LNG facility until a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) on health, safety, and other critical unaddressed issues is completed. YEHOW!
