Junko Furuta was a 17 year old girl when Hiroshi Miyano asked her on a date. Junko was not interested in being in a relationship, therefore she rejected him. Hiroshi was a bully and was connected to the Yakuza.

on November 25th, 1988, Junko was kidnapped by 4 teenage boys, one of them being Hiroshi Miyano. the kidnappers took Junko to one of their parents houses where they would rape and torture her for 44 days.

after 44 days the boys challenged her to a card game, which she won, the boys got angry and rewarded her with a beating and being lit on fire. being already badly beaten, suffering from dehydration and malnutrition, Junko Furuta fell into shock and died the following day. the murderers put her body in a 55 gallon drum filled with concrete and disposed of it in Koto, Tokyo.

the names of the murderers are: Hiroshi Miyano, he changed his name to Hiroshi Yokoyama, Jō Ogura, changed his name to Jō Kamisaku, Shinji Minato, some sources refer to him as Nobuharo Minato, and Yasushi Watanabe.

all four of them were caught and tried however when the crime(s) occurred they were all minors they were to be tried as juveniles, they faced sentences as adults but the sentences they faced were very low. by now all of them are out of jail.

we need to find Junko’s killers and try them again as adults and get justice for Junko Furuta.
