This petition is an appeal by her fans to bring Venus Palermo (aka Venus Angelic) back to YouTube. Venus started creating her own videos and posting them on YouTube when she was 13 years old. She is now 19. During that time and up until January of 2016,  she was managed by her mother, Margaret Palermo. We (Venus's fans) do not know the particulars as to the legalities between Margaret, Venus and YouTube but within the past month (March 2016), Margaret began reporting Venus's videos for copyright violations. She reported so often that Venus's channel was finally deleted by YouTube.

This has happened because in January 2016 Venus (who was by then married to a Japanese man named Manaki) left home to be with him in Tokyo. Venus explained in a series of several videos that she had experienced abuse by Margaret and that she had "ran away from home". Margaret publically (through Instagram)  accused her daughter of having a series of disorders in order to attempt to discredit her to her fans. Venus explained and denied the accusations. She also explained about her mother "hacking" her online accounts and blocking her from using her own bank account. Margaret has an online history of inappropriate, questionable and bizarre behavior. We have, through said videos of Venus's, discovered that Margaret has  subjected Venus to physical, emotional, mental and verbal abuse while she was growing up. When Venus left her mother, Margaret threatened her to have her YouTube channel shut down and to "ruin" her life.

Margaret's current attack on Venus's work is an attempt to take revenge (she is no longer profiting from Venus's work) and to supposedly teach her a lesson. Her "lesson" is stealing her daughter's livelihood.  If there is any question as to whatever legal rights Margaret may have to Venus's work, that is something that should be determined in a court of law by a judge who could determine ownership and rights in a fair and equal manner--not exclusively by Margaret. What she is doing is simply an extension of ongoing abusive behavior towards her daughter. If Margaret gets her way, she is essentially a person who lived off of her daughter's earnings while she was a minor and then robbed her daughter of being able to make a living doing what she loves most simply because she left home.

We implore you to seriously consider reinstating Venus's channel along with her videos but if this is legally impossible, please allow Venus to restart a new channel for herself that could be separate from her mother's control.
