Keep a strip club out of West Covina at the old Crazy Horse location near Plaza West Covina and the 10 freeway.
The Issue
Porto's Bakery & Cafe wants to take over the old Crazy Horse location near Plaza West Covina and the 10 freeway. However, as any business would do, and before investing upwards of $10 million dollars, it wants concessions from the city. The zoning on the property currently allows x-rated adult businesses.
The current property owners were reportedly intent on building a strip club in the Crazy Horse location. Porto's Bakery & Cafe is currently in negotiations with the owner to purchase the property. However, they need city concessions and assistance to develop the property.
Porto's Bakery & Cafe wants to invest $10 million in the old Crazy Horse location. Such a project would bring construction jobs, 175 permanent jobs, and upwards of $25 million in revenue to our town.
If the city does not work with Porto's, or any prospective business, and that deal fails, then it's likely that we'll get a STRIP CLUB in the middle of our city center: right next to Plaza West Covina, the 10 freeway, and the City Hall, Courthouse, and Police complex.
We need to tell our West Covina Representatives that the citizens of West Covina refuse to allow a strip club in the middle of our city center.
Let's get behind bringing Porto's Bakery & Cafe to West Covina instead of a strip club in the Crazy Horse location. Can you imagine what that could bring to our family town? Contact our city council and let them know that you do not want a strip club in our town.
