So many animals around the world are being tested on. Whether it's for new cosmetics or for medical purposes, it's extremely unethical. Many seem to think it's okay to test on animals because they're not human but this is completely untrue. Products being tested on animals can not only cause them distress, but it can also cause them great pain, horrible long term side effects, and more. Every year, over 100 million animals die and suffer from testing in the US alone. Animals have no way to communicate to or resist humans, so they're an easy target for testing.

You might think that animal testing is limited to very few species but it most certainly is not. Mice, fish, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, farm animals, birds, cats, dogs, mini-pigs, monkeys, and more types of animals get tested on regularly. The only real law against animal testing is a federal law called the Animal Welfare Act or AWA. Unfortunately, this law does not do much, for it excludes about 95% of the animals being tested on, and does not do much to help the ones it supposedly does protect. 

Why do we stand and let all of this happen? Imagine if this were you, being strapped down and tested on just because. We won't let it continue.
