Reparations Now for East St. Louis residents: 1917 East St. Louis Race Massacre.

Reparations Now for East St. Louis residents: 1917 East St. Louis Race Massacre.
The Issue
This petition was made to bring to light the travesty of the 1917 East St. Louis Race Massacre. Accountability must be held by the state and federal government. The affects of the 1917 violent white mob that destroyed homes, business, and killed hundreds of black lives is still seen and felt today. Please sign and share with others!
Since the end of slavery there have been more than two dozen recorded black race massacres that killed hundred of black lives, destroyed prosperous black communities, and caused billions of dollars of damages and destroyed future revenue for the black communities that was destroyed during the race massacres that swept the country.
In July 1917 a white mob tore through the East St Louis community killing men, women, and children. Destroying homes and businesses burning them to the ground and while all this was going on the local, state, and federal government stood by and did nothing. No accountability was ever held for the hundreds of lives lost inEast St Louis during the 3 day massacre.
The devastating effects of the 1917 race massacre is still seen and felt in East St Louis today. The city and the dozens of black communities in the country that suffered the same fate has never fully recovered or has risen back to the status our communities would have been in if it hadn’t been for the race massacres and systemic racism.
Petition is calling for a government funded system of reparations for the current residents and decedents of families in East St. Louis and the surrounding predominantly black communities to address and answer for the 1917 East St. Louis Race massacre and systemic racism.
Black communities have suffered financially due to the race riot massacres and systemic racism that destroyed the black infrastructure. East St Louis, IL was destroyed by a violent white mob in a span of three days. The mob killed men, women, children, and burned down businesses and homes. Hundreds of lives lost and billions of dollars in damages done with no one charged for the deaths or held accountable for the damages. We’re calling on the government to enact legislation and issue a system of reparations to bring equity to the black community. The system is to be designed to creat a sustainable program that will start and continue to rebuild the black community infrastructure.
Creation and access to new 100% forgivable business loans specifically for the black community. To address the hundreds of millions of dollars lost in black business revenue due to the race massacre.
Creation and access to a new second sustainable business loan that is 100% forgiven specifically for the black community.- Creation and access to new building grants for new businesses and homes.
- Creation and access to new home loans with zero money down to build brand new homes in the black community to answer for the billions of dollars of damage to homes during the race riot massacre in East St. Louis 1917.
- New legislation specificallyto protect the black community from violence, discrimination, and inclusion.
- Automatic approval for all residents who live and reside in the communities that have had race massacres, suffer from the effects of race massacre, and for any descendants of families who lived in the cities and towns that was destroyed by race massacres.
- Implementation of 20 years of direct deposit installments of $5000 to all residents of East St. Louis and the surrounding black communities that have been effected by the affects of the 1917 ESTL Race Massacre and Systemic Racism.
- Restore Felons rights. Black Americans are disproportionately locked and charged with felonies more than any other race in America due to unfair sentencing and bias enforcement of laws.
These actions can rebuild the infrastructure of East St. Louis and rebuild it and raise it from the ashes of the 1917 East St. Louis Race Massacre. We also challenge the state to offer up more avenues to add on to what will be implemented in the system of reparations for East St. Louis.
