Steven Figueroa Jr. was just three years old when he was brutally beaten to death. Joy Ramos, the mother of baby Steven, claims that her ex is responsible for the death. She claims that she is a victim as well and apparently has fooled the court because she isn't in a jail cell awaiting trial. The fact is Joy is no victim; she is a very good liar and doesn't care about anyone but herself

 Steven was a happy child around his dad Steven Figueroa sr. and his side of the family, he was always smiling. His laughter could light up any room, he was smart and funny, he loved all his cousins. His favorite movie was Cars, he loved Lightning McQueen. Prior to baby Steven's death Steven sr and his family tried several times to see the baby, but were denied by Joy. She always had an excuse as to why they couldn't see him.

 At the time of baby Steven death Joy, her mother ( Norma Ramos) the boyfriend and two of her kids were living at Norma's condo in Elkgrove Village. Norma knew the abuse was going on and said nothing, the ex boyfriend claims only Joy hurt the kids but still said and did nothing. Joy claims that's it's all the boyfriends fault, but her oldest said that both of them ( he was 6 at the time). David her oldest son left the home shortly before baby Steven was murdered. He did not want to live with Joy or her boyfriend, dcfs got involved yet saw fit to leave her with her two other children. No one helped, no one came to soothe them, no one did a damn thing. The official autopsy says he died of blunt force trauma to the abdomen( internal bleeding). Can you imagine how much excruciating pain his little body was in? How confusing it must've been that the people who are supposed to love and care for you made you suffer. I'm sure he never knew why these terrible things were happening to him and his last moments were terrifying and painful.

 This petition is to have Joy Ramos incarcerated for the duration of this trial. It is a great injustice that she be at a halfway home as if she is a nonviolent offender. It is also a petition to make sure ALL parties that knew of abuse or participated also be charged with neglect including Dcfs. Steven Figueroa Jr needs Justice. #justiceforbabystevenjr
