IUPUI students and staff alike are burdened with paying for expensive parking permits that can be extremely limiting in the areas you can actually park. College students have enough of a financial burden, especially living in or around downtown Indianapolis. Together we can petition the IUPUI Chancellor Nasser Paydar and the IU President Pamela Whitten to reduce the cost of parking permits and to make them more convenient for students. I can attest from my own experience, parking is stressful and inconvenient, and paying for a $400 parking permit does not feel worth it.
