The new Labor government has been sworn in and Jo Haylen is our new Transport Minister.

Now the fact we now have a female in charge of transport could work in our favour as she would have some sympathy with families struggling to pay bills and transport costs. However, Ms Haylen is based in Sydney and like her Liberal predecessors, may also prefer to concentrate on more "citi-centric" projects before she turns her attention towards the bush.

I guess we will have to wait and see which way she swings when it comes to providing affordable public transport services and whether she will be as "citi-centric" as previous coalition transport ministers. 

In the meantime, I have updated the contact list for this extremely important petition and added her name along with that of our new Labor Premier, Chris Minns. 

Could you please help by sharing this petition with friends, co-workers and family. If we can get the numbers up over the 1,500 mark, then the media will jump on it and run with it. It's only then that we will have massive the statewide coverage we need to get it over the line.
