Most people will want to do the right thing and not risk drink driving and an automatic loss of licence. This in turn will mean fewer people visiting local pubs and clubs in small towns as there are no others ways of getting home after having a beer after work.

There are no "Plan B's".

As a result, the traditional 'drink with the boys' in the local pub will soon be a distant memory as it won't be worth the risk of an automatic loss of licence.

This is going to affect many small hotels and clubs in towns along the Bogan Way. The Rabbit Trap Hotel being one of the hardest hit as there is no other way of getting home from there apart from driving yourself.

This is one of the reasons public transport is so necessary in this area. How are these businesses going to survive if everyone decides not to risk it and does their drinking at home instead?

At least if there was a regular train service, people could go to these pubs and clubs and know they had a "Plan B".
