With new documents showing FBI leader J. Edgar Hoover's involvement in Chicago Black Panther leader Fred Hampton and Malcolm X's murder being released...

It's finally time to remove J. Edgar Hoover's name from FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Make no mistake: No one has done more damage to African-American causes than J. Edgar Hoover in the past 100 years.

These include (but not limited to):

• Destroying the Marcus Garvey movement (by hiring the 1st Black full-time FBI Agent to infiltrate his organization)
• Infiltrating the Nation of Islam that helped lead to Malcolm X's death
• Infiltrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Southern Christian Leadership Conference (by sending Dr. King a letter urging him to commit suicide, etc)
• Infiltrating the Black Panther Party which lead to Fred Hampton's death, dissension within the organization, and much more
• Protecting the killers of white civil rights worker Viola Liuzzo, murdered by the KKK in Selma in 1965 because she had a young Black passenger in her car (one of those Klansman was an FBI informant)
• Protecting the KKK members who bombed the 16th Street Baptist Church, a bombing that killed 4 Black girls in Birmingham, Alabama in 1963
• Starting COINTELPRO, an illegal surveillance program that disrupted Civil Rights, Feminist, Anti-war, American Indian, Animal Rights, and Environmentalists organizations (and much, much more)

As you can see, these are some of the illegal things J. Edgar Hoover did "in the interest of national security" which caused much damage along the way.

Now is the time to remove his name from FBI Building Headquarters. If America can remove Confederate flags and statues, America can remove J. Edgar Hoover's name from the FBI Building.

We're in the "post-George Floyd era." If the good people in the American public want to "right their past wrongs", it's time for J. Edgar Hoover's name to finally leave the FBI building.

If we reach 100,000 signatures, the media will pick this up and it will finally become a national debate.
