What an historic day for Tasmanians!  This evening the House of Assembly passed the End of Life Choices (Voluntary Assisted Dying) Bill by 16 aye votes / 6 noe votes.  Because of amendments to the Bill in the Lower House, the Bill will now go back to the Legislative Council (anticipated mid March) where it will hopefully receive the final seal of approval to become law!

South Australia expects to have its draft Bill introduced for parliamentary debate in the coming weeks.

Queensland, we await the draft legislation from the Qld Law Reform Commission in May - though they have advised they may not be able to meet the deadline ...  Delays, delays ...
