Today saw a great deal of coverage in the Courier Mail regarding their canvassing of Qld Politicians on their position on Voluntary Assisted Dying.  Approximately half of the State's MP continue to "sit on the fence" when it comes to their position on Voluntary Assisted Dying for Queenslanders with the Courier Mail Editor describing their approach as "pathetic".

It's actually alarming to read that in spite of the Victorian and Western Australian Inquiries and the passing of legislation, the Tasmanian passing of legislation (unanimously) in the Upper House at this point, and a comprehensive Qld End of Life Choices Inquiry, with recommendations for the introduction of legislation, that half of our State MPs continue to sit on the fence - not even acknowledging their support "in principle".

Queensland is no different to Victoria, WA or Tasmania.  People suffer dreadfully and people die dreadfully.  Legislation should not come down to a postcode.

What can you do?

Join forces with me and many others at Facebook:  VALE - Voluntary Assisted Life Ending - https://www.facebook.com/valeqld- so we can continue our campaigning and advocacy.

Write/visit your local MP and tell them that you want them to support this legislation on behalf of their constituents.
