As I wait for my latest scan results and multidisciplinary appointment following my London trip, I want to remind people exactly why this campaign matters.

For decades I navigated severe symptoms without proper pathways, without multidisciplinary care and without being referred outside Ireland despite the progression of my disease.

I now know that my thoracic area should have been investigated years ago.

Instead I spent years experiencing chest infections, breathing difficulties, debilitating pain, exhaustion and progressive loss of mobility while trying to survive day to day life.

The reality is this illness did not just affect my health.

It affected my ability to work, exercise, socialise, earn an income and participate in life fully.

I lost sports I loved as a teenager.
I lost the gym.
I lost financial stability.
I lost years of my life to delayed care and systemic failures.

No person should have to crowdfund healthcare-related travel and accommodation costs simply because the expertise they need does not yet fully exist within their own country.

No person should have to deteriorate for decades before finally accessing the correct multidisciplinary team.

This is why I continue speaking publicly.
This is why I continue documenting my experience.
This is why this petition matters.

Ireland needs fully resourced endometriosis pathways, earlier diagnosis, multidisciplinary teams, thoracic awareness, better education for medics and proper supports for patients whose lives and livelihoods are being destroyed by delayed treatment.
