Actualización de la peticiónIssue an Expert Irish Endometriosis Framework - let us have a National Inquiry📢 ENDOMETRIOSIS UPDATE – IS IT ENOUGH?

On May 29th, Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill announced progress in Endometriosis services at the Ladies Lounge event.

Progress is welcome.

But for the thousands of women still waiting years for diagnosis, facing repeat surgeries, losing fertility, careers, relationships and quality of life, the question remains:

Is it enough?

As someone who has spent over 21 years navigating Stage 4 Endometriosis diagnosis, undergone multiple surgeries, and recently had to travel to London through the ESAIS scheme to access specialist care unavailable in Ireland, I know first-hand that announcements do not always translate into patient outcomes.

Patients are still:
💛 Waiting years for diagnosis.
💛 Being forced to travel abroad for specialist treatment.
💛 Paying significant travel and accommodation costs.
💛 Living with chronic pain and disability.
💛 Being told their symptoms are “normal” or dismissed altogether.

While progress is being reported, accountability for decades of failures is still missing.

That is why we continue to call for a National Inquiry into Endometriosis and Women’s Healthcare in Ireland.

I just signed the petition calling for a National Inquiry into Endometriosis care in Ireland. Will you add your name too?

No one should have to lose years of their life waiting to be believed or fight this hard for basic healthcare.

Because women deserve more than promises.

We deserve answers.
We deserve accountability.
We deserve specialist care.
We deserve timely diagnosis.
We deserve better.

The Minister believes progress is happening.

Patients are asking:

Is it enough?
