CALL IT OUT: Ireland Needs Real Endometriosis Care Now
For decades, women and girls in Ireland have been expected to cope with pain, wait years for diagnosis, and travel abroad for specialist endometriosis care. This is not a minor issue — it is a national healthcare failure.
We are calling for the immediate implementation of a proven, achievable solution already used in Ireland for other chronic conditions:
The Visiting Consultant Rotation Model (VCRM).
VCRM brings experienced excision surgeons into Irish hospitals, allows women to receive treatment at home, and upskills Irish surgical teams in real time. It reduces waiting lists and stops the need to export women for healthcare.
Under the current Women’s Health Framework, specialist involvement is planned for two years from now. Women cannot wait another two years.
We are organising a peaceful Call-Out at Leinster House (date TBA) to demand timely, specialist, evidence-based care for the 1 in 7 affected.
No official date has YET been announced.
If you cannot attend in person, you will still be able to take part from home.
