Thanks to the thousands of voices behind this petition and the lived experiences shared by the entire community, the Minister for Health has now agreed to meet with Senator Maria McCormack to discuss the failures in the new framework and the urgent reforms required for Endometriosis care in Ireland.

As a result of this development, the Seanad PMB scheduled for December 3rd will not proceed.

Instead, a full, detailed meeting will take place on 21st January, where Senator Maria McCormack will present the concerns and priorities of this community directly to the Minister.

This progress belongs to YOU — everyone who signed, shared, emailed, and spoke out.

Key developments achieved through public pressure include:

• The Minister instructing the HSE to visit excision centres in Athens and Bucharest with a view to adding them to the ESAIS scheme.

• A new colorectal surgeon post advertised for the CUH Endometriosis Hub.

• A national education and awareness campaign planned for rollout in 2026.

Ahead of the January meeting, Senator Maria McCormack will publish the full list of reforms being sought — including diagnostics, follow-up care, MDT expansion, ESAIS improvements, and financial supports.

Your voices are leading this change.

And they will be heard.
