In the West Bank village of Umm al-Khair, Israeli settlers have placed razor wire across a road, blocking Palestinian children from reaching their school.

For over two weeks, children as young as five have been unable to safely access their classrooms. Instead, they have been forced to protest daily, asking for the road to be reopened.

This is not a security measure — it is a barrier preventing children from accessing education.

Denying children safe passage to school violates basic rights and puts their safety and future at risk.

We call on:

Israeli authorities and US Government 
to immediately remove the razor wire and ensure safe, unobstructed access to school for Palestinian children.
