אנחנו קוראים למשרד החוץ, לסוכנות היהודית ולארגונים יהודים ברחבי העולם להשקיע בהסברת ישראל טובה ואיכותית על מנת להילחם בפוגרום על ישראל ברשתות החברתיות!

מעל ל80% מהמבוגרים רוכשים את המידע שלהם מהרשתות החברתיות. במהלך מבצע "חומת מגן" נוכחנו לגלות שבניגוד למבצעים קודמים, מדינת ישראל מותקפת באופן אגרסיבי, אינטנסיבי וללא רחמים ברשתות החברתיות. מדובר בחזית לא פחות חשובה מאשר חזית המלחמה על קיומנו במדינת ישראל, מאחר שהיא גוררת תוצאות מרחיקות לכת. לאחר רצף של פרסומי תכנים שקריים, מסיתים ואנטישמים של מפורסמים כמו ג'יג'י ובלה חדיד, טרבר נוח, דואה ליפה ורבים אחרים (כולם בעלי עשרות מיליוני עוקבים ולכן בעלי תהודה גבוהה במיוחד ברשתות החברתיות), ניתן לראות עלייה של מעל 500% במקרי אלימות אנטישמים ברחבי העולם. מדובר בעלייה שלא נראתה כמותה מאז השנים שקדמו לרצח העם של 6 מיליון יהודים. אי אפשר להתעלם מהעובדה שההתקפות האנטישמיות על מדינת ישראל ברשתות החברתיות מובילות באופן ישיר לעלייה החדה במקרי האנטישמיות בעולם. לרשתות החברתיות יש את היכולת לעצב את התדמית של מדינת ישראל בפני דורות שלמים.

בזמן שאנחנו שתקנו, במשך שנים רבות שונאינו מכפישים אותנו ומפזרים שקרים ועוויתי אמיתות עלינו ברשתות החברתיות. אך כעת, מדובר בפיצוץ חסר תקדים של תעמולה אנטישמית אשר משפיעה ישירות על דעתם של עשרות מיליוני אנשים על מדינת ישראל ולגבי הסכסוך הישראלי-פלסטיני. מיליוני יהודים ברחבי העולם סובלים וימשיכו לסבול מההשלכות של ההכפשה הזאת. אפילו הרשתות החברתיות עצמן נותנות לתופעה זו יד: הנהלת טוויטר החליטה לחסום את המשתמש של נשיא ארה"ב דונלד טראמפ לאחר שהסית לאלימות, אך לא עשתה דבר כאשר ההשטאג #hitlerwasright תפס תאוצה. מספר גבוה של תגובות בעד ישראל נחסמות באינסטגרם, ודווחים על תכנים מסיתים, אלימים ואנטישמים לא מתקבלים.

הגיע הזמן לשים סוף לאוזלת היד של מדינת ישראל בתחום ההסברה כולו. למען הביטחון שלנו ושל כל היהודים בעולם, אנו קוראים ליצירת תכנים מושקעים ואיכותיים, אשר מסבירים את נקודת המבט הישראלית לעולם, עושים שימוש באישים הנכונים ובעלי הידע, המופקים באופן מהודק ומדויק שיופצו בפלטפורמות בעלות תהודה גבוהה.

אנחנו טובעים בים של שקרים, הסתות ואלימות. אנחנו נלחמים בכל הכוח, אבל הכוח שלנו מזערי והיכולת שלנו לחולל שינוי מוגבלת. עד כה, אנחנו נכשלים כישלון חרוץ. מדינת ישראל ויהודי התפוצות נמצאים בסכנה קיומית. אנחנו לא יכולים להגן עליה לבד! כפי שאנו דורשים מצבא הגנה לישראל להגן עלינו מפני הרקטות של החמאס, אנו דורשים ממשרד החוץ, הסוכנות היהודית וארגונים יהודים ברחבי העולם להילחם איתנו במאבק על נרטיב הסכסוך!

 We call on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Jewish Agency and other Jewish organizations around the world to create accurate and high-quality Hasbara in order to fight the Social Media Pogrom on Israel!

Over 80% of adults draw information from social media. During IDF’s Operation “Guardian of the Walls”, we’ve witnessed that unlike previous operations, the State of Israel is being aggressively, maliciously and mercilessly attacked on social media. This is a war no less important than the war for our lives in the State of Israel, as it has far-reaching consequences. After a series of fraudulent, inciting  and Anti Semitic propaganda posted by celebrities like Gigi and Bella Hadid, Trevor Noah, Dua Lipa and many others (all with tens of millions of followers therefore having a particularly high resonance on social media), there has been an increase of over 500% of Anti Semitic violence around the world in just 11 days. This kind of  sharp, radical increase has not been seen since the years leading up to the genocide of 6 million Jewish people. It is impossible to ignore the fact that the Anti-Semitic attacks on the State of Israel on social media are a direct cause of the extremely steep rise in Anti-Semitic violence and hate crimes around the world. Social media has the power to shape the image of the State of Israel for entire generations.

While we've been sitting in silence, our haters have been spreading lies and slander about Israel on social media for many years now. Now, however, we are witnessing an unprecedented explosion of Anti Semitic propaganda that directly affects the public opinion of tens of millions of people about the State of Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Millions of Jews around the world, Zionists and anti-Zionists alike, are suffering and will continue to suffer from the consequences of this slander. Even social media itself is lending a hand to this phenomenon: while the Twitter management chose to block President of the United States Donald Trump's user after inciting violence, no measures have been taken when the hashtag #hitlerwasright gained momentum and thousands of retweets.

It is time to put an end to the incompetence of the State of Israel in all aspects of Hasbara. For our security and that of all the Jews in the world, we call for the creation of accurate, high quality content which would explain the Israeli point of view to the world, make use of the right personalities, be produced in a compact and precise manner, and distributed on high-resonance platforms.

We are drowning in a sea of lies, incitement and violence. We are fighting with everything that we have, but our power is minimal and our ability to bring change is limited. So far, we are losing miserably. The State of Israel and the Jews in the diaspora are in existential danger. We can’t defend it alone! Just as we demand from the Israel Defense Forces to protect us from Hamas’ rockets, we demand from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Jewish Agency and other Jewish organizations around the world to fight with us for the narrative of the conflict!
