Correct "Taiwan, Province of China" on ISO 3166 and change it to "TAIWAN".

Correct "Taiwan, Province of China" on ISO 3166 and change it to "TAIWAN".
The Issue
Founded in 1947, ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world’s largest developer of voluntary International Standards. Developed through global consensus, they help to break down barriers to international trade. And since its founding the ISO has published more than 19 500 International Standards covering almost all aspects of technology and business. According to ISO International Standards, their developed international standards impact all our lives.
Because of the reason stated above, it is important and imperative for the organization to stay true to its objectives in the business of setting standards and not to succumb to malicious political pressures and misinformation when it comes to developing international standards.
The ISO 3166 country codes lists TW(Taiwan's country code) as "Taiwan, Province of China", not only this makes it seems odd for ISO to list Hong Kong and Macao simply as they are without any "part of China" labels, it is also an evidence that shows ISO is complying to a politicized position solely held by China and not from any credible authority that has capacity to determine the designation of a geographical region.
ISO supposedly abide by The United Nations Bulletin Country Names Country and Region Codes for Statistical Use of the United Nations Statistics Division ( http://unstats.un.org/unsd/methods/m49/m49alpha.htm ) However, the UN source does not indicate in anywhere that Taiwan should be named as "Taiwan, province of China". Furthermore, it is explicitly stated in the UN site that "The designations employed and the presentation of country or area names in this list DO NOT imply the expression of any opinion whatsoever on the part of the Secretariat of the United Nations concerning the legal status of any country, territory, city or area or of its authorities, or concerning the delimitation of its frontiers or boundaries. "
For the reasons above, we hereby demand ISO not to compromise its reputation and image as the leader in international standard development. Please stick to the facts and general principles. The fact Taiwan is not a member state of UN does not mean ISO can butcher its right to identify its self, and surrendering to China's will and comply to its imperialistic agenda is not a way to "maintain neutrality". We hope ISO would not surrender to external political pressures and destroy its integrity by not doing what is right. What is right is let Taiwan be just Taiwan. Let TW be TAIWAN.
