We are asking you please to sign our petition to get the lights repaired on the Iconic Watertower in Knocknaheeny.

This freestanding concrete water tower with unique scallop detailing,built in the late 60s early 70s,in recent years Cork City Council erected LED lighting on the tower to show its glory at night time'and can be seen from around the city in all its splendor.

Unfortunately over time these lights have not been working to full capacity and needs to be repaired as it not the same structure as what it is without these lights illuminating the detail of the Tower.

Cork City Council previously owned the tower but with the inception of Irish Water it was transferred to them and since then the lighting has fallen into disrepair and we are calling on Irish Water to Repair them.

The lights on the tower bring a positive impact to the area and brighten up the darkest of nights when its fully illuminated,and we hope this can be brought back to its former glory with all the lights working.

This tower is visable from the air on Passenger flights heading to Cork Airport and does draw questions to what it is?and how beautiful it looks from the air,even passing it by car it has a draw to it and its beauty.
