Support the call for Voting Rights for the Irish Living Abroad

Ireland currently denies its citizens living abroad the right to vote. It is important for the nation not to disenfranchise this significant section of Irish society who can play a vital role in the rebuilding of the state. Most emigrants leave Ireland, not by choice but due to necessity. To deny them their voice in the shaping of their home place, to which many wish to return, is simply unjustifiable.
If you are an Irish citizen living anywhere in the world or your daughter, son, brother or sister, friend or relative lives abroad and you believe that every voice has a right to be heard please add your name to this petition. It is intended to be submitted to the Irish Government on 01 July 2012 (75th anniversary of the peoples enactment of the Constitution of Ireland) to address this unacceptable exclusion of Ireland’s citizens.
