Highfield Children's Centre, (IP1) Ipswich has unfortunately been informed that it will be one of the Children's Centre that the Council have decided will be closed. We as parent's have decided we can't let this happen and here is why. The services offered at Highfield Children's  Centre are very important, not only to the development of thousands of babies and children over the last 13 years but also helping parents with issues such as breastfeeding, post natal depression, weaning, sleep and much more. Providing not only fantastic unique well attended classes like Little Tiddlers and Muddy buddies on the Dales but also family support on a one to one basis often in the persons own home. The councils plan is to transfer some services to the Wellington Centre however, this is not very accessible for all with no parking and a good travelling distance for some of the IP1 parents that use Highfield children's Centre. Highfield run more classes than any other children's Centre meaning Wellington would not be able to cope with the demand anyway. Please support us to support our fantastic staff and keep our amazing children's Centre open.
