This will return the Rohingya to the hands of the very people who were murdering them, raping Rohingya women, burning Rohingya babies alive, and destorying their homes and means to make a living. The Myanmar government is NOT TO BE TRUSTED in any fashion when it comes to the Rohingya!!! Myanmar has been implementing a policy of GENOCIDE against the Rohingya for almost 40 years and the massacres last fall are the culmination of that policy. The last time the Rohingya were repatriated after similar violence in 2012 they ended up in concentration camps in Myanmar surrounded by barbed wire fences and soldiers where every aspect of their lives were controlled by the Myanmar government -- EVEN WHO THEY COULD MARRY!!! Myanmar wants to KILL or EXPEL every Rohingya from Myanmar so that there is nothing left of Rohingya history or presence in Myanmar -- a presences that goes back more than a thousand years. THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY INADEQUATE IN ITS RESPONSE TO THE ROHINGYA SLAUGHTER. Your help is urgently needed to compel the Canadian government TO DO WHAT IS NEEDED AND WHAT IS RIGHT to prevent genocide. Because if we don't then all our words about being defenders of human rights and the international rule of law are meaningless.
