I am starting this petition driven by a personal fervor for fairness in the game we all love - NFL. The AFC Championship Game between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs, which stands as the second biggest game in the NFL, was marred by questionable officiating decisions. Millions of us witnessed a series of missed calls and wrongfully awarded penalties that ultimately altered the outcome of such a momentous game. The Kansas City Chiefs were seemingly favored, tilting the game unfairly.

Poor officiating not only disrupts the fair competition between the teams on the field but also disenfranchises the dedicated fans of the NFL, causing disappointments and discouragement. An official's whistle should create clarity and equity, not confusion and resentment. The power vested in officials comes with enormous responsibility, and it's fair to request that they execute their duties without prejudice or bias.

Therefore, we call upon the National Football League to invoke Rule 17, which provides for the Commissioner’s powers to reverse a game’s result or reschedule a game due to unfair acts. This rule, though rare, exists for situations exactly like this, wherein substantial injustice is evident.
