Invite Mosab Hassan Yousef to Speak on Antisemitism at Tulane University

The Issue

As a Jewish student, I have experienced first-hand the emotional toll of the escalating Israel-Palestine conflict, with antisemitism prominently rearing its ugly head. Our identity as Jewish students makes us a target, and it’s disheartening to see our circles of friends and role models shrinking due to their chosen affiliations with groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah. It strikes me that there is a dire need for education about the very real impacts of the support for such groups.

That's where Mosab Hassan Yousef comes in. As someone hailed by many in the Jewish community, Mosab has made it his life's work to reveal the destructive nature of pro-Palestine radicalism. New Orleans, a key location for Jewish life in the American Deep South and home of Tulane University, is an ideal place for such discussions.

The rise of support for Hamas across the nation is alarming. Given the Pew Research Center’s finding that the rate of antisemitic incidents has nearly doubled in the past year, it's clear there is a desperate need for this issue to be addressed (source: Pew Research Center).

Let's bring Mosab Hassan Yousef to Tulane University. His presence will shed light on the dangerous effects of supporting groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and other forms of pro-Palestinian radicalism that have been fueling the increase in antisemitism across our nation.

For the sake of our friends, our colleagues, and our community, we ask you to help bring Mosab Hassan Yousef to speak in our university. His understanding, experiences, and insights are much needed. Please sign the petition.
