Wild horse foals are dying inside federal holding facilities — and the public may not be getting the full truth.

A recent investigation found that records of dead foals from disposal facilities do not match what the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has reported publicly. In some cases, internal communications referenced multiple stillborn foals, yet these deaths were never fully disclosed.

These are federally protected animals. When they are taken off the range and placed into government care, the public has a right to know what happens to them.
