Investigate London Northwestern Railway's Contractual Compliance

Investigate London Northwestern Railway's Contractual Compliance
The Issue
My wife, like many others in Hemel Hempstead, pays a hefty £450 monthly for a travel card from London Northwestern Railway. Unfortunately, she often finds herself unable to use it due to frequent cancellations and delays. This forces her to spend additional money on alternative trains or taxis. It's not just an economic burden; it also contradicts the government's environmental policies as we are compelled to resort to car usage instead of public transport.
This situation raises serious questions about whether London Northwestern Railway is fulfilling its contractual obligations towards its customers. According to the Office of Rail and Road (ORR), train companies must provide "a service that is satisfactory in terms of punctuality and reliability" as part of their license conditions. The current state of affairs suggests that this might not be the case with London Northwestern Railway.
Furthermore, this issue contributes negatively towards our national goal for environmental sustainability. The Department for Transport has stated that shifting journeys from cars to public transport can significantly reduce carbon emissions - something we're failing at due to unreliable train services.
We urge the relevant authorities - ORR and Department for Transport - to investigate if London Northwestern Railway is fulfilling its contractual duty and take necessary action if they are found lacking. Sign this petition if you believe in reliable public transportation and care about our environment!
