Judge Michael Sweet of Sacramento County has crossed serious ethical and legal boundaries. He has used his position and power as a Judge to influence his colleagues in the DA's office, CPS, and other Judges to lesson punishment and drop charges for his Niece Amber Tinker her whole adult life and just did it again recently. She was arrested 4 times in less than a month and a half for serious violent domestic violence felonies which resulted in a CPS case where the children were taken from her and the victim of the Domestic Violence. He then influenced CPS to go easy on her and had the Judge in her criminal case give her a slap on the wrist for punishment. Then he had the Family courts actually strip the victims rights to his kids and give her custody. He even adjudicated her sons (his grand nephew by blood) case all the way thru to sentencing without recusing himself around the same time. To top it all off he wiped her record clean so that she could get a cushy high paying state job that she would have never been able to get otherwise.

Judge Sweet has proven he doesn't have the necessary ethical boundaries to keep his seat on the bench and must be investigated and stopped before he destroys more integrity of the Judicial Branch in Sac County. He must not be allowed to make a mockery of the courts anymore. If he is allowed to stay on the bench he will no doubt continue to abuse his power and break more laws in the process, further weakening the already fragile confidence that the public has for the Judicial System as a whole.

Please sign this petition to send to California's Attorney General demanding that his office look further into Judge Sweet and the agencies and people he uses that are willing to tarnish themselves and their professions by doing favors for him and his family.
