It is important that we equip our primary schools with the knowledge and skills necessary to restore our environment. A way to do this is by introducing a syllabus into the curriculum, educating our pupils about the eco-system, and sustainable food forests.

This will enable our children to address future global challenges such as food, water and global warming. Primary school pupils would actively participate in setting up and maintaining a food forest, transforming school grounds into examples of strong eco-systems that will flourish over decades. 

A sustainable future depends on our collective action, and improving our education system is imperative towards our success.

My personal back story:

I have travelled the world looking for the cure to my depression. In Italy I met a husband and wife who introduced me to their food forest.

I have also spent brief moments of time amongst indigenous tribes and admired how they have retained the same sustainable lifestyle for thousands of years. 

I was saddened that I had to travel around the world for this extremely basic information, and I know want my future generations to have this knowledge for free.
