Dear Costco Team,

This petition represents the collective voices of Muslim Costco members and families who appreciate Costco for its value, quality, and commitment to serving diverse communities. While Costco offers an outstanding selection of products, many Muslim families feel excluded from the in-house prepared food section due to the lack of halal-certified options.

Prepared foods such as rotisserie chicken, pizza, hot dogs, chicken dishes, salads, steaks, and other ready-to-eat items are staples for many Costco shoppers. However, without halal-certified versions, these offerings remain inaccessible to families who follow halal dietary guidelines.

In addition, there is strong community interest in expanding Costco’s bakery offerings to include more cake varieties and customizable options, especially for children’s birthdays and family milestones. These small but meaningful additions would make Costco an even more welcoming place for families.

The halal food market is one of the fastest-growing sectors globally, projected to reach $2.6 trillion by 2025. This growth reflects real families, real needs, and a growing customer base seeking inclusive food options.

By offering halal-certified prepared foods and select Kirkland products, Costco has an opportunity to support dietary inclusion while strengthening loyalty among Muslim members and their families.

This petition respectfully calls on Costco to take meaningful steps toward inclusivity by introducing halal-certified options in its prepared food section. Doing so would allow thousands of families to fully enjoy the convenience and experience Costco is known for.
