The Issue

Bowling has been recognized as a sport by the United States Olympic Committee since 2005 and has been included in the Special Olympics since its inception. It's an activity that fosters focus, discipline, and teamwork while being accessible to people of all ages and physical capabilities. Plus, according to Youth Bowling statistics from 2019, over 21 million kids bowl recreationally each year across America.

Incorporating bowling into our high school athletic program would provide an additional avenue for students who may not resonate with traditional team sports or outdoor activities. It offers them an opportunity to participate in a competitive environment without putting excessive strain on their bodies.
