The Issue

Bethel Park High School, known for its diverse range of study and elective courses, is yet to cover an intriguing part of earth's history - Dinosaurs. Dinosaurs, the magnificent creatures that walked our planet millions of years ago, have fascinated generations and hold great scientific significance. According to a recent survey by the American Museum of Natural History, 85% of Americans are interested in dinosaurs (source: American Museum of Natural History), revealing a keen interest for dinosaur studies across various age groups.

Introducing an elective class on dinosaurs could provide a well-rounded understanding of paleontology, evolution, and environmental changes. This class could become a stepping stone for many students interested in pursuing a career in paleontology or other related fields.

We are calling for the introduction of this unique elective class at the Bethel Park High School to accommodate the interest of those students who are passionate about this exciting subject. It is time we bring prehistoric studies into the 21th Century and inspire the next generation of paleontologists.
