The Issue of the Internet:

In today's digital period, high-speed internet access has become necessary for everyday life, making many tasks more suitable. But because they live outside the city bounds, people in rural areas shouldn't be denied the same quality of service. The requirement for improved structure and recent broadband lines in rural neighborhoods is long due. 

Many residents in our community face frequent internet outages, causing frustration and disrupting their daily activities. Students can't complete online assignments, remote workers face productivity setbacks, and businesses lose customers due to unreliable connections. This issue seriously affects low-income households, widening the digital separation.

Consequences:

If this problem continues, our community will fall further behind. Students' education will suffer, local businesses may lose revenue, and residents will feel increasingly disconnected. A reliable internet is crucial for modern life; without it, we risk falling into a digital dark age. Globally, currently, around 1.05 billion people live in internet poverty, which is around 13% of the world's population. Of these people, the majority live in Africa and Asia. 524 million live in Africa, and 418 million live in Asia. Local businesses are experiencing a decline in sales during outages, which affects their competitiveness against online retailers. For instance, unreliable internet might deter potential investors or tech-based companies from establishing themselves in the area. Low-income families often rely on public resources for internet access.  During outages, they face significant disadvantages that interfere with their ability to access essential services and information." 

The Solutions:

Are there any successful initiatives or partnerships in other places that have improved internet connectivity? Presenting successful models can inspire action. Some solutions to this could be creating a broad network, expanding network coverage, installing new fiber optic cables, and changing the infrastructure could increase the speed and internet reliability.  Setting up Wifi hotspots in community centers, libraries, or public spaces can offer alternative access points. 

 

Personal connection:

I recently went on vacation to Egypt, and while the house we stayed in was decent, I was disappointed with the pricing. They charged my dad daily for the electricity we used on the TV, air conditioners, and other things, even though we had already paid a considerable amount for the house. 

For example, As I was taking an exam, the WiFi suddenly disconnected from my computer and I couldn't proceed any further. I missed ten questions because of this issue.” And as a Muslim and citizen of America, this is something urgent that needs attention and fixing. I was in my Quran class, and while reciting, my teacher's internet connection cut off, causing her to freeze. Will this keep happening? Can someone help resolve this internet connection issue? Students, teachers, and workers will have to endure this again. Or will someone help to end this cause which would increase the students' education and workers like the teachers and those who need it the most? 

Community of Internet Access:

I am not alone in this struggle. Many neighbors share the same suffering. We believe supplying internet access for all would benefit our community and service providers. Despite numerous attempts to persuade providers, our efforts have been unsuccessful.

 

The Internet Matters:

Internet access is not just about being beneficial or pleasant. It is about equal chances of having Internet access for every individual.

Not only is online learning safer, but it also helps guarantee that learning online can be anywhere with no limit to internet access. However, online payments are more manageable for individuals because of the saved time.

Additionally, giving a reasonable price for streaming movies and shows should be an option for citizens. 

Social relationships not only encourage people, but they also allow friends and families to interact on social media and gaming worldwide.

It is time to realize that internet access should be for everyone regardless of religion, ethnicity, nationality, or race.
