Enforce the Whaling Moratorium in Iceland, Japan, and Norway

Enforce the Whaling Moratorium in Iceland, Japan, and Norway
The Issue
In 1986, the International Whaling Committee (IWC) implemented a ban on whaling worldwide. Due to this moratorium, frequency of whaling dropped and whale populations increased. However, Iceland, Japan, and Norway still engage in illegal whaling activities; this is often under the ruse of "scientific research" or through other loopholes in the moratorium.
Whales are magnificent creatures, they're valuable members to their ecosystems and provide a lot of important features. Without whales, the balance of their delicate aquatic ecosystems will suffer. Food webs will be disrupted, water chemistry will change, decomposers will lose an important food source, and much more.
I'm calling for the IWC to enforce their whaling moratorium, and for the governments of Iceland, Japan, and Norway to impose stricter regulations on whaling. Whales need to be saved from human impact, and this is the first step to do so.
