In this extremely difficult and complicated moment, as tennis players, we appreciated and welcomed with pleasure the institution by the ITF of a Panel elected by the players to represent their voices and needs. We would expect that such a step towards a cooperation between the ITF boards and the players could be resolved by the creation of a voting body in which the people living on the tour could express their opinions about decisions and even promote their actions.

This, sadly, is not happening. This Panel looks like a players' forum that will be able only to give "recommendations and advices". A panel constructed in such a way will not meet the original objective to represent players. We believe that to be significantly part of the ITF World Tennis Tour Committee we have to be considered not only as a voice to hear after the decision-making process, but also during, having at least the right to vote on choices that will effect our professional life.
Being impressed from the openness that the ITF is showing to us by allowing the players to select their representatives, we kindly but firmly ask to take another step in our direction already now and to recognize our right to partecipate actively to try and promote the change we need.
Be transparent, give us the possibility to sit with you at the same table, let us help the tennis movement become better, GIVE TO OUR REPRESENTATIVES THE RIGHT TO VOTE.
