Artistic roller skating on inline skates and quad skates is a beautiful and rigorous sport very similar to ice skating. The training and movements of figure skating on quad/inline skates is mirrored in figure skating on ice skates. There have been many ice skaters who have moved from wheels to ice. The opportunity for the talented roller skaters that exist all over the world would be greatened if the International Olympic Committee (IOC) would allow this incredible sport to be a part of their Summer Olympic Games. Roller skating culture’s values lie in community, body positivity, and acceptance of all genders, sexualities, and races. Roller skating in the Summer Olympics will open many doors for athletes all over the world.
