The issue here is the lack of communication and consideration towards the N20 students in relation to the examination sessions. After the IBO's most recent announcement, it was evident that the M21 students have taken precedence over the N20 students. The effect of COVID-19 on N20 students learning has been completely disregarded. The issue is that the IBO is not acting with empathy, uniformity or demonstrating their own learner profiles in the decision-making process for the N20 students IB results. With several different methods of obtaining an IB diploma, it poses the question, whether two scores from different methods are equitable, universal and fair.

We understand the IBO is trying their hardest to ensure that some form of examination can go ahead. However, they have disregarded the effect of COVID-19 on students learning and revision and therefore should take the appropriate measures to relieve somewhat of the pressure on N20 students potentially by amending examination schedules, decreasing examination content and adjusting examination grade boundaries.
