With the recent claim of a ninth planet in our solar system, I propose that we name the new planet "Rupert", in honour of Douglas Adams.  In his fifth book from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Mostly Harmless, a new, admittedly tenth, planet is discovered further than Pluto.  With no Roman gods to name the planet after, it is decided that it will be named Rupert.  The planet is later found to harbour intelligent life.  It is with this in mind that it is proposed we give Douglas Adams, a great man and a greater writer, the respect he deserves.
