I don't mean to offend anyone with my views because this is not about me, but I do not condone civility toward those who would murder my friends and family members. You do, in fact, often need to fight fire with fire -- and when it comes to hate, I can't think of a single advocate of "love trumps hate" who survived the struggle long enough to do a victory dance... yet. I do not advocate violence or criminal acts against Verity Baptist Church members or the property owned by Harsch Investment Properties, LLC. I do advocate a vocal and annoying presence, ongoing, to let these people know -- all of them -- that we don't want Verity Baptist Church in our community and are intolerant of tolerance for intolerance. They need to go. Quickly and quietly. Immediately and permanently. And we can make that happen if we KEEP UP THE PRESSURE. We cannot make that happen if we are civil and polite and help them ignore our efforts to make them leave. I often write emails with a sense of urgency and frequently make plurals possessives -- this isn't stupidity. This is haste and bad spell-checking. Forgive me , Oh Lord, for I am a sinner. Or whatever. Bottom-line: This is not a couple of protests worth of work and notoriety for a small group of organizers and/or supporters -- THIS IS A LONG HARD FIGHT AHEAD AND IT REQUIRES PRESSURE. What can you do, my friend? In the words of Frederick Douglass, "You can agitate. Agitate... agitate... agitate." This cause does not need leaders -- it does not need organizers -- and it does not need internal crowd control. The cops are earning BIGTIME OVERTIME MONEY to do crowd control, so make them earn their money -- don't do their jobs for them. And don't stop agitating. I hope to see at least some of you there tonight. This fight does not end until they lose their tax exemptions, their lease, their funding sources, and their ability to maintain their mind-poisoning "home school" program. 2/3rds of their congregation are under the age of 18 -- more than half appear to be under the age of 12 -- and not one of their kids has the benefit of a public or private school education, and the socialization that would result in an adult that isn't a hate-mongering bigot and potential murderer. We cannot let that happen here. We just cannot.
