The IATF against Covid-19 still recommends the used of face shield in public establishments absent clear scientific data on its effectiveness. When the prevailing scientific consensus was that covid spreads via droplet infection it made some sense. But the WHO has already said that corona virus is airborne rendering these face shields useless. So why in the world are we required to use face shields when they are in fact bereft of scientific rationale.

Some groups and individuals clearly are benefiting from this at the expense of common sense, public comfort, and risk of spread of transmission.
