My electric wheelchair is broken. I cannot walk and the insurance company which says it is supposed to replace it has been blowing me off for several months now. I take care of myself, 2 pets, and my elderly father. My broken wheelchair is a wheelchair that was purchased with a credit card, not by an insurance company. They have purchased no medical equipment for me even though they are disability insurance and that is what they are supposed to do. I'm out of money now and about to be homeless. Being homeless is bad enough, but being homeless without the ability to walk, I mean...I'm just gonna die, right? Anyway, the insurance I have is supposed to replace my wheelchair. I have been waiting for over 6 months and they are just excuse after excuse. Leaving me with only a crappy wheelchair that does not fit through the doorways of my house. That hurts to sit on. Oh, just so much more, but they also did not supply me with said “crappy wheelchair” so…I would like people to sign this petition just to acknowledge the facts that they know that insurance companies take advantage of the disabled. I have X-rays showing I have only half a kneecap per knee. I have doctors diagnosis’s of MS among other diagnoses. My insurance company knows all this and apparently, that doesn’t matter to them. The disabled people of the world deserve better!

Curious about who my insurance company is? Why it’s Simply Healthcare via Medicaid which I get for being disabled. Just more proof that they know I am disabled and proof that they do not give a damn!
