Institute Uniform Doping Tests for Olympic Swimmers Worldwide

The Issue

I, along with numerous other sports enthusiasts, have recently observed an alarming trend within the world of competitive swimming. Photographs have circulated showing multiple Olympic swimmers with unusually purple faces, a phenomenon not noted in past meets. We suspect this may be a physical manifestation of unfair application of anti-doping regulations, meaning not all swimmers are being tested equally. This is especially prevalent with the US team's claims of necessary medication, allowing them to use banned substances legally.

Infrequently regulated and inconsistent doping tests mar the essence of fair competition and sportsmanship, thus undermining the integrity of the Olympic games. Some people think it's only China doing it, but the WADA in 2022 released results that said China only had a 0.2% positive rate with over 20,000 tests. Other countries such as the US had a 1.2% positive rate with only 6,000 tests.

It's time we demand a uniform, thorough and fair doping test for all nationalities and athletes competing in swimming events at the Olympics. Our mission isn't merely about ensuring clean competition, but about preserving the fundamental principles of equality and fair play which are the bedrock of the Olympic spirit.

Let's voice our concerns so that the true essence of sportsmanship can be restored. We need your help in getting the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to pay attention to this issue. By signing this petition, you are supporting the call for equal doping testing for Olympic swimmers from all parts of the world. It’s time for equal rules, fair competition, and one standard for all athletes. Sign our petition today!
