As families like mine have grown alongside this area, so have the traffic congestion problems. The growing number of residents is forcing us to spend longer in our vehicles, enduring daily frustrations. Even more concerning is the situation at Rebecca Creek Elementary School, located at Quest Ave. Parents like me experience extreme difficulty during child drop-off and pick-up times, maneuvering through unsafe and overcrowded conditions. The lack of traffic signals along FM 306 is a significant contributor to these issues. Traffic lights would not only help manage the flow of vehicles but also enhance the safety of this road for everyone, especially children. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, implementing traffic signals in high-traffic areas can reduce the risk of accidents by up to 50%. This proactive measure is essential to support the expected rise in traffic volumes as even more families and businesses establish their roots here. Moreover, considering the increasing number of commuters using this route, it's crucial to prioritize the installation of traffic signals to prevent avoidable delays and potential accidents. Traffic signals would provide a much-needed relief to parents, drivers, and residents who traverse this busy corridor daily, significantly improving our community's quality of life and ensuring the safety of our children and families.
