I am a local resident deeply concerned about the safety and efficiency of our roads. The Winnall roundabout is a major junction where cars join and leave the M3 south and north bound. It's also the only access to the A34 from the motorway or town. Over time, I have witnessed numerous accidents on this roundabout due to its complexity and heavy traffic flow.

The Spitfire link junction is particularly problematic as it's the only junction on that roundabout without traffic lights. This means cars are often stuck waiting for a free space to join the roundabout for up to 10-15 minutes during peak hours. The backlog of traffic extends so far back that it causes Spitfire Link itself to gridlock.

We need Winchester council, Hampshire County Council, and Highways Agency to take immediate action by installing traffic lights at this critical junction. Doing so would not only improve road safety but also significantly reduce congestion during peak hours.
