A request to GLENORCHY CITY COUNCIL: DO NOT wait until something BAD happens! 

As a concerned local resident of Tolosa Street, Glenorchy(TAS 7010) and a parent, the reckless, loud diving issue has deeply alarmed me and my neighbours. This excessively busy part of the street frequently witnesses dangerous driving and noise pollution, particularly from hoons, thus disrupting our peace and sleep. It's not only about convenience but about safety. In the past, hit and run accidents, as well as burglaries, have been reported with increased frequency, threatening our sense of security. The level of anxiety has heightened to such an extent that fear has become an uninvited guest, especially at night. A grocery store in the neighbourhood and a school ahead lay bare to the imminent risks that our children, elderly people and the general public face every day due to the lack of a surveillance system in the area. Having cameras would provide a sense of protection and make perpetrators think twice before committing any act of negligence or crime here. Therefore, it is critical that surveillance cameras are installed at the 30 and 117 Tolosa Street roundabout. It will safeguard the entire street, work as a 'hawkeye zone' and decrease Police work significantly. Let us join hands in urging our local authorities to take these necessary steps to improve our neighbourhood's safety and tranquillity.
