On May 9th, a day that will forever be etched in my memory, my beloved French bulldog ventured out of our house, only to be met with a tragic fate. A speeding truck, carelessly ignoring the safety of our neighborhood, struck her down and didn't even stop. The loss of a pet is heart-wrenching, and the thought that this is a recurring danger to children, pets, and pedestrians on our street is deeply concerning.
