As a concerned resident of Sewaren, Woodbridge Township, NJ, I am deeply worried about the safety of our children walking to and from school along Old Road. This busy and dangerous road lacks sidewalks, putting young pedestrians at significant risk. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), pedestrian fatalities accounted for 17% of all traffic deaths in 2019. Installing sidewalks can reduce pedestrian crashes by up to 88%, as per the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

Cars and trucks speed down going 50mph in a school zone in short cut of West Ave. Children are riding bikes in the street because there are no sidewalks, There was just an overturn truck accident on our road during school hours.
